Southern Reliability Link Project for New Jersey Natural Gas

Burlington, Monmouth and Ocean Counties, New Jersey

BANC3 provided the surveying services for a proposed 28-mile pipeline for New Jersey Natural Gas, which will run through Burlington, Monmouth and Ocean Counties, including through portions of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

The first portion of the project required the route selection, design, easement identification/acquisition, and permitting of a 30" pipeline through Burlington and Ocean Counties from the point of supply in Chesterfield Township to the start of the area regulated by the Pinelands Protection Act which was on Pinehurst Road (CR539) south of Route 528.

The second portion required easement identification/acquisition, design, and permitting of a 30" pipeline from the end of the first section to the tie-in point in Manchester Township. The majority of this section traveled through Pinelands Management Areas in Ocean County. The start of the second portion was coordinated with the first portion where it was run down Pinehurst Road (CR539) into the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, to mile marker 28.38 where it will turned east into the gated section of the Base. The pipeline ran through the base and emerge onto Route 547 at mile marker 0.19. From there, it ran southeasterly adjacent to Route 547 and Route 70 where it tied into the 24" transmission line at the intersection of Route 70 and Colonial Drive, Manchester Township, Ocean County, NJ.

BANC3 was responsible for the topographic surveying, which will be the basis for the route selection, design, easement identification/acquisition, and permitting for the 30" pipeline. Our scope of work also included measurements on storm drains and culverts, spot verifying base mapping in key locations and producing certified parcel plats/non-certified property exhibits.
