Construction Management Services at the Pennsylvania Judicial Center for the General Services Administration

BANC3 provided construction management services for pre-construction and construction phases of the new 340,000 SF Pennsylvania Judicial Center located in Harrisburg's historic Capitol Complex. Retained by the Department of General Services after the design was 75% complete, we immediately compiled independent cost estimates to verify the overall project budget and reconciled projected costs with the Design Professional. We then made recommendations for value engineering to bring costs back in line with the budget including simplifying the exterior façade and structural steel details. We maintained a full-time, on-site presence during construction to help meet the project schedule milestones, budget, and quality of work. We also provided commissioning services for mechanical, electrical and life safety systems for design, construction, acceptance and warranty phase services meeting current ASHRAE standards.
